Understanding roles

Template customization basics

Before starting with the customization, you need to have a template created. If you haven't created a template yet, you can follow the Creating a Template guide.

Understanding Roles, Class, Specs

It's important to understand how user can register to an event before customizing the template.

When creating a template, you can define roles, classes, or specs that users can select when registering for an event. These roles can be anything you want, such as Tank, Healer, DPS, etc. You can add, edit, or remove roles from the template.

Eventorio Events allow up to 3 levels of registration:

Example Templates

World of Warcraft Raid Template: (3 level registration)

  1. Role: Users can select a role when registering for an event. For example, Tank, Healer, DPS, etc.

  2. Class: Users can select a class when registering for an event. For example, Warrior, Paladin, Mage, etc.

  3. Spec: Users can select a spec when registering for an event. For example, Protection, Holy, Fire, etc.

Star Wars Squadrons Template: (2 level registration)

  1. Role: Users can select a role when registering for an event. For example, Fighter, Bomber, Interceptor.

  2. Class: Users can select a class when registering for an event. For example, X-Wing, Y-Wing, A-Wing.

Destiny 2 Raid Template: (1 level registration)

  1. Role: Users can select a role when registering for an event. For example, Titan, Warlock, Hunter.
ℹ️

In the examples above, the first level is the Role, the second level is the Class, and the third level is the Spec.

You need to define these levels when customizing the template.

You can't define a class without linking it to a role and you cannot define a spec without linking it to a class.
